Every countertop is made to order in our New York workshop using carefully selected hardwoods, wide planks, and construction methods matched to both design intent and real-world use.

Face Grain
Long, continuous grain running the length of the countertop. Clean, refined, and well-suited for kitchen countertops, islands, and large surfaces.
Edge Grain
Vertical grain orientation offering increased durability and a more uniform appearance. Often used for kitchens, prep areas, and commercial applications.
End Grain (Butcher Block)
Exposed end grain construction designed for impact resistance and durability. Commonly used for butcher block prep zones and work surfaces.
Live Edge
Preserves the natural contour of the tree for an organic, architectural look. Frequently used for islands, bar tops, and statement installations.

All Formhaus countertops are made to order in our New York workshop. Typical production lead time is 3–6 weeks, depending on size, construction style, and material availability.
