- How does freight work?
- Lumber ships freight, and freight is quoted to your dock, not guessed. Add the stock to your project like anything else; at checkout the shop quotes freight to your site before payment.
- What does S2S / S3S / S4S mean?
- S2S: surfaced two faces. S3S: two faces plus one straight-ripped edge. S4S: surfaced four sides, ready to work. Surfacing removes stock — rough sizes are nominal, so 8/4 typically finishes around 1 3/4 in after surfacing, 4/4 around 13/16 in. You order and pay by rough board feet.
- Why a 100 BF minimum?
- This is a supply line for whole projects — a house of trim, a restaurant of tops. For smaller quantities, the forms are usually the better fit.
- What widths and lengths?
- Widths and lengths run with the log and your cut list. State requirements on the quote and the shop confirms availability before anything is invoiced.
