How a piece gets made
Process
One shop in Farmingdale, New York. Every piece milled, joined, and finished in-house, in one production queue, on one published lead time.
01
Drawing
Every order starts as a drawing. Configure in the instrument — species, construction, dimensions, sheen — or send your own. The spec is confirmed before anything joins the queue; what is confirmed is what gets built.

Milling
Rough stock is acclimated, then jointed and planed flat in-house. Lumber supply orders — S2S, S3S, S4S — leave the shop from this stage, surfaced to spec.

Joinery
Boards are matched and joined; the construction you chose — face, edge, or end grain — determines how the block goes together. Tolerance held to a sixteenth.

Finishing
Our UV-cured protective coating — a zero-VOC hardwax oil, commercial grade, repairable in place. It soaks into the pore instead of sitting on top, so the wood reads deeper, not coated, and it cures solid under LED-UV light before the piece is crated. The species you chose is the color you get; stain matching is available as a custom request. Prefer bare wood? Unfinished is a configurator option — the same milling and sanding, shipped raw for your own coating.

Delivery
Crated in-house and shipped free — delivery is in the price, never a line item. Forms ship to your site anywhere in the country; lumber ships freight, quoted to the dock before you commit. Delivery windows are confirmed at order.

An estimate — currently 3–4 weeks, published in the header of every page and stated identically everywhere it appears, from a single source. When the shop calendar fills, the number moves, and the site updates the moment it does; the shop confirms your schedule at order.
