Where the spectrum ends — but not quietly. Macassar Ebony is jet-black heartwood shot through with bands of golden tan, the most dramatic figure any board we run can offer. It is also the densest and hardest — over three thousand on the Janka scale — and it machines like stone that decided to cooperate.
It is a statement board and priced like one; many projects use it exactly where it counts. Where ebonized finishes imitate a flat black, Macassar is the real thing with its stripes intact.
Pairs with · Bone white, unlacquered brass, black steel.
